Victoria is a versatile violinist and violist whose professional career, as both soloist and ensemble player, encompasses a diverse range of performing styles and musical genres with a variety of symphony orchestras, theatre pit orchestras and chamber ensembles. Also an experienced session musician, she has appeared on albums by Mike Peters, Lucky Soul, Poney Express, D.E.R Collective, Fredrika Stahl and Slowly Rolling Camera. Her broadcast media work has included multiple projects for Brollyman Productions, appearances on S4C’s Pop Factory and live broadcasts on BBC Radio 4.

Victoria studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she gained LWCMD and PGDip diplomas with distinction and was also an annual prize winner. Following her graduation in 2002 she was first selected for a Socrates exchange to Australia (which included studying for a term at the Newcastle Conservatorium near Sydney), and then for trials with both the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the English Symphony Orchestra. Since then, she has worked with Bath Philharmonia, Bristol Ensemble, British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Heritage Light Orchestra, Kennet Opera, National Symphony Orchestra, Opera Mint, Swansea City Opera, Welsh Sinfonia and Wessex Sinfonietta performing with artists including Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, Katherine Jenkins, Michael Collins, Peter Donohoe, Laurie Holloway, Kanye West and The Kings Singers.

Victoria’s association with the Akina String Quartet, of which she is a founder member, provides very varied additional chamber ensemble experience, whether performing classical string quartets in a formal concert or bespoke arrangements of modern pop songs as background music at wedding receptions and corporate events.

Victoria is also passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of musicians. She teaches violin and viola for Berkshire Music Trust as well as directing two string orchestras and also teaches violin at St. Gabriel’s School, Newbury.
